Affinosides L_a-L_e, Major Cardenolide Glycosides from the Leaves of Anodendron affine (Anodendron. VII)

Abstract

Affinosides L_a-L_e, major cardenolide glycosides which have oxygen functions at C-11 and C-12 or at C-11 of the aglycone moiety, and retain double linkages between the 2α, 3β-dihydroxyl groups of the aglycone and 6-deoxy-, or 6-deoxy-3-O-methylgulosulose, were isolated from the leaves of Anodendron affine, and the structures were determined on the basis of spectral and chemical evidence.
