Abstract

Reaction of 8, 8a-epoxy-1, 2, 3, 4, 4a, 7, 8, 8a-octahydro-4a-hydroxy-6-methoxy-2-methyliso-quinolin-7-one (6), derived from the p-quinol acetate (1), with phenols gave the bistetrahydroisoquinolines (10-13).
