Abstract

(±)-Isogymnomitrol (1b) and (±)-O-methylgymnomitrol (1c) were synthesized starting from the 1, 2, 6-trimethyltricyclo[5.3.1.0^{2, 6}]undecan-9-one derivative 4 via 1, 2-carbonyl transposition from C(9) to C(8) as a key step.
