Abstract
Optically active vinylchroman (1) was synthesized from a corresponding allyl carbonate (2) by catalytic and asymmetric allylic substutution with palladium complexes of chiral bisphosphine ligand. The reactivity and selectivity of the various chiral bisphosphine-palladium complexes were investigated.
