Condensation product obtained by the Robinson-Schopf method using glycine ester hydrochloride was reduced by lithium aluminium hydride and sodium borohydride. Some of the reduction products were synthesized form 3-tropanone (IV) and, on the basis of these experimental data, the structure of the above compound was established as (I).
