Abstract

The purpose of this study is to obtain the knowledge of the landscape planning with a great deal of personality by clarifying the identity of Osaka City. Three main terminals and the surrounding area such as Umeda, Namba, and Tennoji district were surveyed. The characteristics of physical environment was clarified by using the conditions of the building renewal year, the building use, and the building height in each district. The characteristics of landscape was clarified by analyzing the screen occupancy rate of landscape elements on eight typical landscape photos in each district and was clarified by surveying the each regional image. As a result, it had been shown that the recent re-development projects brought about the sensibility of “urban comfort” at every districts in common. By region, the sensibility of Umeda district was a three-dimensional feeling, Namba was bubbly property, and Tennoji was a feeling of life.
