Abstract

In recent years, some companies indicated the closure of large-scale commercial facilities. The large-scale commercial facilities not only provide people with goods to buy but also supply food and drink and long-time staying places to people. The closure would have an adverse influence on residents. The purpose of this study is to clarify changes of shopping difficulties in the local city, issues which have been difficult and the residents who are susceptible to the changes, and in order to be certain the influence of the closure, we have investigation on residents. As a result, the closure has a certain influence on 30.2% of elders who are living alone, and 23.1% of people who have to go shopping on foot or by bike because there is not a car. And they became not able to go shopping.
