Water vapor adsorption on allophane samples (KnP and KyP) was examined under relative humidity (RH) from 0 to 98%. The adsorption isotherm coincided with Langmuir equation up to 0.45 RH. There was a similar decrease in water adsorption at monolayer level. The decomposition of immogolite undermined the IR band at 348 cm-1 and XRD at 2.25 and 1.40A° due to grinding and was found absent after 8hour grinding. The XRD at 3.3-3.45Aº moved to 3.6A° due to polymerization of silica.
