滴定法に依る土壌の炭素定量に就いて

1. The carbon contents in some volcanic ash soils occuring in southern Kyushu, were determined by the two rapid titration methods of K_2Cr_2O_7 (Tiurin method) and KMnO_4 (Budapest method); and the results were compared with that obtained by the dry and wet combustion methods. 2. In the case of the K_2Cr_2O_7 method, it was found that the factor to be used for calculation is 0.34 per 1 c.c. of the number of titration, instead of Tiurin's 0.3. 3. Since the KMnO_4 method gives varied results according to the amount of carbon taken for estimation, the K_2Cr_2O_7 method seems to give more accurate results than the former.
