Applying Kasugai's modified Neubauer Seedling Method with the degraded paddy soil from Yoshida, we have determined the amounts of MnO, Fe_2O_3,CaO, MgO and K_2O which had been absorbed by rice seedlings. (1) Again we could confirm the previous conjecture regarding the availability of manganese in paddy soils. However, besides the following two points have been learned : (2) Magnesium is quite deficient especially in soil from Yoshida. (3) The available effect on the air-dried soil is excellently high to potassium as well as nitrogen with the submerged humus soil from Ukishima area.
