With the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) for decarbonization, the challenge of simultaneous mass EV charging has arisen. On the other hand, there is the issue of effectively utilizing renewable energy, which tends to generate surplus energy due to supply and demand fluctuations. To address these challenges, demand response (DR) utilizing EV battery storage has been considered. Companies are exploring DR using commuter EVs in corporate environments. The DR must function reliably while preserving EVs’ primary transport role. Therefore, understanding user acceptance of its constraints is essential. First, this study estimated the constraints for improving the utilization of photovoltaic (PV) systems and reducing CO2 emissions in the demand response using commuter EVs at business sites. Next, a survey investigated the acceptability of these constraints and the attribute tendencies through a questionnaire. The results clarified the degree of acceptability of each constraint and identified the attributes that significantly influence these constraints.
