We propose a new reflective color LCD using color polarizers based on the field sequential color LCD (FS-LCD). This reflective FS-LCD is promising because of its three times resolution and no fabrication process of color filter. In this system, color polarizers are key components to get bright color images, so that we have focused on development of them with suitable absorption spectra and high dichroism. From our experimental results, we confirmed that this LCD had satisfactory color coordinates.
