PA02 Monte Carlo Simulations using Biaxial Gay-Berne Model for Binary Mixtures

Abstract

Monte Carlo simulations for binary mixtures have been carried using a biaxial Gay-Berne potential model. The parameters, S_<zz> and S_<xx>-S_<yy>, were evaluated to specify the orientational order of the non-liquid crystalline solute in the nematic or the smectic phases.
