PA04 紫外光誘起グレーティングを用いた液晶の配向制御(物理・物性)

抄録

Surface relief gratings on polyimide and organic polysilane thin films are fabricated by UV irradiation through a phase mask. The anchoring energies of 5CB namatic liquid crystal on the fabricated gratings are determined with a saturation voltage method. It is found that the anchoring energies are controlled by changing grating depth, and that the anchoring energies of polyimide are stronger than those of polysilane because of π-π interaction between polyimide and 5CB.
