We tried to improve the transmittance of EO characteristics for V-shaped PS-FLCD (V-PS-FLCD) cells with the cross rubbing method. In the case of conventional parallel rubbing V-PS-FLCD cells with 6wt% monomer, the transmittance of the cell was lower than that of the cell with 3wt% monomer. However, the transmittance was improved by 60% in comparison with non-twisted cell when the V-PS-FLCD cell which was doped with 6wt% monomer with the cross rubbing cell of the right-twisted 10deg. structure was used.
