Abstract
2,6,10-tris(n-dodexylamide)triphenylene (TP(CONHC12)3) was studied on charge carrier mobility correlated to the mesomorphism and hydrogen bonding behavior. TP(CONHC12)3 exhibits a hexagonal columnar (Colh) mesophase. The introduction of amide groups near triphenylene core part leads to the increase of thermal stability of mesophase in comparison to an alkyl amide mono-substituted triphenylene. TOF measurements of carrier mobility were carried out. The observed mobility for positive carriers is 7~9 x 10-2 cm2 V-1 s-1 in the mesophase.
