抄録

In this study, we have made couples of nonlinear optical (NLO) measurements on our recently-discovered axial ferroelectric columnar liquid crystal (FCLC). Second harmonic generation (SHG) method was utilized as a probe for spontaneous polarization and its reversal. Besides, visible-infrared sum-frequency generation (SFG) spectroscopy was carried for FCLC upon E-field application, which strongly supports our model proposed in the previous study. And hence this confirms the validity of our strategical molecular design to realize FCLC.
