PB31 Δε<0のネマティック液晶を用いたBTN型LCDの特性(ディスプレイ,ポスター発表,2012年日本液晶学会討論会)

抄録

The BTN mode with the nematic LC with Δε<0 is known as one of the bistable LCD modes. The pretilt angle on the substrate is a low pretilt angle in this mode. In this paper, the BTN mode with the LC with Δε<0 was investigated. This type of the cell has a pretilt angle with almost normal to the substrate. And the director orientation is also vertical alignment without the applied voltage. When the voltage is applied, the director in the center of the cell is parallel to the substrate and the twisted structure appears. The fundamental electro-optical characteristics were measured.
