抄録

Twist nematic elastomer (TNE) films have a director configuration in which the local director rotates in the thickness direction. We reveal that the macroscopic helical shapes of the rectangular TNE ribbons are classified into four types with different helical handedness and outer surfaces, depending on the angle between the midplane director and the long axis of the ribbons. This classification is independent of the twist angle of the local director.
