フェニルピリミジン骨格をメソゲンとするスメクチック液晶性化合物の合成とそのフォトリフラクティブ効果

抄録

We synthesized smectic liquid crystal compounds possessing phenylpyrimidine structure using Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling reaction. Subsequently, we measured the photorefractive effect using photorefractive material made from the synthesized smectic liquid crystal compounds as host liquid crystal. The intermediate compounds in this study contain phenolic hydroxy group, allowing us to design and synthesize various host liquid crystal compounds with chirality and photoconductivity using the Williamson ether reaction.
