Abstract
In this paper it is introduced a new type of dual‑band antenna element for reflectarray applications. The proposed configuration is based on the integration of two shorted ring antennas, namely the Shorted Annular Patch (SAP) antenna and the Inverted- SAP (I-SAP) antenna. As it will be shown, this arrangement can be adopted to design dual‑band dual‑beam reflectarrays in which the formation of two radiation patterns can be controlled independently by varying the inner and the outer radius of the SAP and I-SAP antenna respectively.
