A novel quasi-planar five-port E-plane waveguide power divider with new computer-aided design method is proposed, which lower down the fabrication costs and expand application of waveguide components in the higher frequency ranges, integrations and massive die-casting productions of microwave circuits. A sample, planar five-port E-plane power divider operating between 3.1 GHz and 3.6 GHz, is designed from an initial concept of the well-known branch-line waveguide coupler. The sample circuit is fabricated and measured. Tested results show that the input reflection is lower than -25 dB, insertion loss lower than 0.1 dB. The amplitude difference between two output ports is smaller than 0.04dB, and the phase difference between the two output ports smaller than 0.3 degree.
