Abstract
1) Chlorpromazine inhibits the appearance of the neurosecretion of the hypothalamus and prevents the release of pituitary adrenocorticotrophic and gonadotrophic hormones under conditions of surgical stress.
2) Chlorpromazine does not hinder the actions of exogenous Pitressin and Pitocin which stimulate the release of ACTH and gonadotrophin respectively.
3) Brief discussions have been made on the role of vasopressin and oxytocin in the liberation of pituitary trophic hormones.
