Saliva-parotm-A injected intravenously in rabbits caused highly significant decrease in serum citric acid 24 hrs. after the injection.A linear relationship was observed between the percentile decrease in serum citric acid and the logdosage of saliva-parotin-A. Effects on serum calcium, phosphorus and protein were also observed. However, the effect on citric acid was most remarkable.
