Between 1999 and 2023, meteorological observations were conducted in a deciduous broad-leaved forest in the suburbs of Sapporo. The mean annual precipitation from 2007 to 2023 was 1,183 mm. The mean values of temperature, vapor pressure, wind velocity, and global solar radiation during the study period were 7.6 °C, 9.4 hPa, 2.2 m s-1, and 12.7 MJ m-2 d-1, respectively. The most prevalent wind direction was from the south-southeast. The observation facilities sustained substantial damage due to strong winds associated with two typhoons. Consequently, observations of all elements except precipitation were suspended from September 2004 to May 2005 and again from September to November 2018. Following the 2018 typhoon, the measurement site for all elements, excluding soil temperature and precipitation, was relocated approximately 150 m to the southeast. The influence of the measurement location on air temperature and wind direction was not significant.
