Abstract
Polyurethane, acrylic silicon, or fluorine resin paints are often used as topcoat paints of steel structures. To reduce the life-cycle cost, fluorine resin systems have become more commonly used recently. "Super-weather resistant inorganic and organic hybrid paint" is what will newly join the weather resistance topcoat paint group. It is a hybrid-type paint with better weather resistance than fluorine resin paints, and has improved flexibility and adhesive property that were disadvantages of inorganic paints. We conducted basic performance tests, accelerated weather resistance tests, and the outdoor exposure test in Miyakojima and report the results in comparison with fluorine resin paints. (100)
