Part4 Surface treatments with chromium(III) type chemicals before coating

Abstract

In part1,part2 and part3 of this report, experimental results of chemical conversion by non-chromate type for surafce preparation of aluminum alloy has been described. As a result, it is cleared that the non-chromate type chemical conversion has not good capability for the surface treatment. Threfore, chromium(III) type chemical conversion that has not been indicated harmful for human budy has been noticed and started expemental evaluation. In this paper, planning and interium results of the experiment for the chromium(III) type chemical conversion are discribed and the applicability of the pretreatment is anticipated.
