Abstract

Fire resistant walls and floors are main and important elements of fire compartmentation in the fire safety design. There are the joints between boards on the drywalls, and it is easy to become a weak point in a fire. However, there is not sufficient knowledge about the influence between fire resistance and the gaps in joints. In this study, we conducted the material experiments to understand thermal properties of the fire protections and collected the data about the influence between fire resistance and joints.
