Abstract
In this paper, effect of the coating film composition on the coating weatherability is discussed on cross-sectional observation of the coating film and 36-month-outdoor exposure test results in Okinawa on some kinds of powder coating including two layer separation type composite resin powder coating. Main results are as follows. (1)The two layer separation type composite resin powder coating has higher gloss retention than thermosetting fluorocarbon and isocyanate hardening type polyester powder coating in 36-month-outdoor exposure test in Okinawa. (2)The composite resin powder coating surface more slightly changes than the thermosetting fluorocarbon and the isocyanate hardening polyester in the 36-month-outdooor exposure test in Okinawa. (3)Titanium from the coating film surface of the composite resin powder coating is detected lesser than the thermosetting fluorocarbon and the isocyanate hardening type polyester powder coating. Above discussion would be continued in the future.
