We developed the UV exposure equipment which can modify each degradation factor (UV, heat, moisture) independently. In this study, we conducted a degradation experiment in a low humidity environment for building organic coating film by using the equipment. This paper discussed a temperature dependence of the UV degradation reaction mechanism and accompanying a macro property(modulus of elasticity) change.
As a result of performing spectroscopic analysis for samples after degradation, The result shows light and heat degradation mechanisms.The light degradation mechanism acts as a cutting the chemical bond, the heat contributes to the formation of recombination between free radicals generated by the light scission.
