In the domestic construction market, two-component sealant is mainly applied to the working joint and the use of one-component sealant is limited. Recently, due to the decrease in the number of construction workers, development of simpler application methods is expected. Therefore, application of one-component sealant to WJ is desired. We have developed a new one-component Modified Silicone (MS) type sealant with improved curing speed and compression recovery properties. In addition, we also verified the applicability of this new one-component modified silicone (MS) type sealant to WJ. The developed sealant has the same dynamic durability as the commercially available two-component sealant. Then, no large deformations were observed in the cross-sectional shape after curing when 3 cycles (3 days) of ±10% movement were applied during the curing process of the developed sealant. Furthermore, no defects were observed in the outer appearance of developed sealant after 6 months of dynamic outdoor weathering test which resembled the conditions for a WJ.
