Abstract

In recent years, the demand for large floor tiles exceeding 300 mm square on the interior floor has increased, but the construction method has not been standardized. Although research has been conducted focusing on adhesives of floor tile for 300 to 600 mm square, few studies have focused on construction methods. In this study,we confirmed the workability and quality perfomance of the mortar or organic adhesive bonding method for 600 mm square tiles and 1200 mm x 2500 mm super-large tile from the construction experiment and bonding strength test , iron ball drop test.We confirmed that the 600 mm square tile is less affected by the groundwork accuracy, but the ultra-large tile requires the groundwork accuracy to be secured with self-leveling materials. It is considered that the tensile adhesive strength is greatly influenced by the state of the back surface of the tile. It has been confirmed that the impact resistance becomes higher as the applied material is harder.
