Abstract

Condensation on concrete slabs may cause moisture damage such as changes in slippage and stains on articles. Although the degree of such moisture damage is predicted to change depending on the amount of condensed water, the same amount of condensed water does not always appear on the surface of a material that absorbs water to some extent, such as concrete, even if it receives the same temperature and humidity history. However, it is desirable that dew condensation that is observed as a change in appearance does not occur. In order to conduct a basic study on moisture damage in concrete slabs, an experiment was conducted to observe changes in appearance when different types of concrete specimens of the same size were subjected to temperature and humidity changes. In this report, the results and discussions of the experiments were described, and the cases where the amount of salt on the surface was different were also mentioned.
