Abstract

The occasion to receive audio-visual inputs increased, accompanied by the development of communication technology. It is useful for the effective communication to elucidate the characteristics of sensory information processing evoked by audio-visual stimulation. In this study, it was analyzed that the dominance of vision and auditory, on condition that both of them were inputed simultaneously during memory tasks. As a result, we found that the tendency of auditory dominance from the score of the memory task. EEG during the memory task was also analyzed, and it in shown that the memory task strengthened theta-band EEG in frontal and occipital regionof the brain, in particular during auditory perception. These results suggest that the auditory perception was dominant input during the learning of idiom-string, with the attention to the auditory information.
