This paper proposes rapid solution strategies to social troubles—outlined below—by encouraging young researchers and engineers who will shape the near future to make full and effective use of conventional technology. It further emphasizes the importance of cultivating a sense of pride as members of the Society of Rubber.
① Development of FKM with enhanced cold resistance.
② Development of RTV materials capable of maintaining strong adhesion under hard environmental conditions.
③ Development of non‑outgassing rubber materials suitable for use in semiconductor fabrication facilities, artificial satellites, and the International Space Station (ISS).
④ Development of lining materials designed to protect the inner walls of concrete sewage pipes.
