The results of Smith and Scott's methcd of Middlebrook and Dubos' blood cell agglutination with 121 leprous patients were as following:
1) The positive results range from 8 to 2048 times diluted sera, of 86.5% of tuberous and 53.2% nervous or maculous patients.
2) As the sensitizing antigen, the carbonhydrate fraction of the tubercle bacillus components is superior to the protein fraction.
3) The water extract of leproma, the carbonhydrate or protein fraction of it, the urine of lepra or tuberculous patients are not available for the sensitizing antigen.
