An ideal, targeted radionuclide therapy for cancer is one that places 100 percent of the treatment dose uniformly within the target tumor and margins without the radionuclide out-migrating to normal organs and tissues. Such treatment can be achieved by designing the therapeutic agent with an optimum radionuclide, chemical form, and carrier properties that facilitate direct injection, placement, and complete retention through radiological decay. Here I introduce a radionuclide therapy of solid tumors by direct interstitial injection.
