Abstract
Toward the sustainable development, it is expected for companies to transform their business models by themselves. From reflection on project management initiatives in a semiconductor firm, the importance of program management and business ecosystem has been recognized. In program management, especially in the scheme model type project, it is essential to design business models with considering business ecosystem, then the methodology/process to design business models is required. In this article, we propose a business boundary analysis method which extends the strategic positioning theory of product architecture as a portion of the methodology/process. Furthermore, we confirm the availability of the method by analyzing the strategy of the actual company based on our proposed method.
