Abstract
Science and Technology, the ratio of female researchers in Japan is currently quite low compared to the rest of the world. The percentage of women in the ranks of professors, associate professors, and section chiefs or above is extremely low. Based on the above, it is worthwhile to study approaches to derive findings that will contribute to measures to promote the advancement of women in Japan. Therefore, this study obtained data from the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2020 and devised a matrix model in which the top 100 universities in terms of 5 Gender Equality achievements were set as the row sample. The other 16 SDGs target data were set as the column variables. Then, by applying this matrix model to link prediction, we devised a model to extract a group of universities with high 5 Gender Equality achievements. Then, by analyzing the level of achievement of the 16 SDGs other than 5 Gender Equality in the extracted university groups with the high achievement of 5 Gender Equality, we discussed the findings on the promotion of female researchers in Japanese universities
