Abstract
Japan's automobile industry continues to maintain its competitive edge even as the world's industrial structure undergoes major changes, such as the rapid progress of GAFA. Currently, Japanese cars have a global market share of about 30%. On the other hand, the automobile industry is in a once-in-a-century period of transformation, such as automated driving and electrification. Autonomous-driving and electric classes are also set up in Formula SAE, where students acquire practical engineering skills. In Formula SAE-Japan competition, although the number of vehicles participating in the electric class is increasing, there are very few participating schools that can pass the document application and vehicle examination and compete in driving performance. In this research, we consider a practical example of a university that is working to convert from the engine department to the electric department from the viewpoint of P2M, and propose a human resource development method at the university based on the obtained knowledge.
