For medical staff, proficiency in medical English is paramount. The increasing internationalization of the healthcare sector, driven by rising inbound medical tourism, necessitates effective communication with foreign patients and access to the latest global medical advancements. As integral members of medical teams, healthcare professionals require medical English to collaborate seamlessly with colleagues and exchange critical information. This includes comprehending complex medical terminology, abbreviations, and documents, as well as delivering presentations at international conferences. Mastering medical English enhances the quality of care provided by medical staff and ultimately improves patient outcomes.
This study outlines a medical English learning system developed using Google Forms and Spreadsheets to facilitate medical English acquisition among healthcare professionals, building upon a previously created prototype.
