This paper proposed a process of river-water-level monitoring using a 24 GHz FMCW (Frequency modulated continuous wave) radar. To improve its monitoring accuracy, the use of detected river velocities and the quartile-range limitation method excludes the outliers of calculated distances to water. The experiments at an actual river validated the effectiveness of the proposed process.
