Abstract
Simulation for the instability of the discharge oscillation of the Hall thruster has been performed by considering the equation of continuity. It is shown that the ion current becomes stable when the cross-section of the channel is reduced. The improvement of the thrust efficiency is observed by reducing the cross-section of the channel.
