Abstract

Smartwatch is one of useful wearable devices. However, the display of smartwatch is small, and the operability is low. A technique of around device interaction (ADI) has attracted attention. In this paper, we propose ToF sensor array on the curved surface to operate a smartwatch using user's back of the hand. The ToF sensor array detect the finger motion on the wide range of user's back of the hand because the sensor is on the curved surface. In addition, the sensor detects the multi-touch and palm motion. Thus, ToF sensor array on curved surface will be useful interface for smartwatch.
