The electric properties of hetero LB films consisting of Cd-Arachidate and C15TCNQ were studied. It was found from deposition ratio, capacitance and X-ray diffraction measurements that Cd-Arachidate LB films are Y-type structure. On the other hands, C15TCNQ LB films were clarified from deposition ratio to be Y-type or Z-type structure depending on the nature (hydrophilic or hydrophobic) of the substrate. However, Y-Z mixed structure were found to exist by X-ray analysis in the films estimated to be Y or Z-type from the deposition ratio. We measured the electrical resistance of Cd-Arachidate-C15TCNQ hetero LB films expecting the low electrical resistance at the hetero interface. However, the value of electrical resistance was almost as high as that of an insulator. We also found the electrical switching phenomenon for our LB films. The electrical resistance switches from higher resistance state (OFF state) to lower resistance state (ON state), when the voltage is applied to the normal or lateral direction of the film.
