Detection of Moving Objects from Moving Vehicle

Abstract

In this paper, we propose a method to detect moving obstacles from image data be given from two cameras on the moving vehicle. The moving vehicle is equipped with two cameras for quick detection of moving objects. One (is called fixed camera) is fixed on the front part of the vehicle, and the other (is called movable camera) is able to move within the deck of the vehicle. In this system, the position of the movable camera traces that of the fixed camera. Using this system, it is able to detect moving objects quickly as the vehicle moving.
