Abstract
The bus transfer is an operating system to improve the plant reliability by the quick changing-over of the operating bus. The large transient current and torque occur at the time of the bus transfer. Transient analysis of induction motor with squirrel cage winding is usually calculated with the constant impedance of the secondary circuit. But, it needs considering the skin effect of the cage bars for the analysis, because the secondary impedance changes with the secondary frequency by the skin effect.
This paper proposes about transient phenomena at the time of the bus transfer by using the secondary circuit models of the induction motor with squirrel cage winding by considering the skin effect.
