Abstract

The Hypothesis Experiment Class (HEC) is based on "enjoyment" as a criterion for evaluating the classes. However, in the first stage of advocating HEC, Itakura himself did not use the term or concept of "enjoyable classes". From the beginning, Itakura had set the purpose of HEC as a class that aims to develop independent people, or people who think for themselves. The term "enjoyable classes" came to be used to express this purpose in a more understandable way. On the contrary, modern science education research aims at "understandable classes", so to speak, which is a different direction from HEC. This can be called a difference in paradigm.
