Plasma ADAMTS13 activity and its inhibitor were measured by conventional VWF multimer method. The titer of inhibitor against ADAMTS13 was calculated to be 1.0 Bethesda Unit/ml. One Bethesda Unit is defined as the amount necessary to reduce ADAMTS13 activity to 50% of control levels.
