Abstract
Over a period of 11 years, 33 cases of SLE and 14 cases of PSS have been diagnosed in the Sagamihara National Hospital. The investigation of cardiac changes in these cases, especially clinical electrocardiographic and radiologic signs are presented.
The following observations were obtained:
1 As the cases revealed more than 55% in CTR, we found this sign in the 37.5% cases of SLE, and the 36.4% of PSS. In the both of these diseases cardiac enlargement revealed the majority of radiologic signs.
2 As the cases revealed some kinds of abnormal EKG, we found that in about 60% of SLE and 71.4% of PSS.
3 As the cases accompanied epicarditis, we found that in 9.1% of SLE and none in PSS.
4 As the cases who had audible heart murmur, we found that in 12.1% of SLE and 35.7% of PSS.
Then in the both of SLE and PSS some kinds of cardiovascular abnormal changes were revealed frequently.
We picked up 4 cases of SLE and PSS and reported as the special cases.
